This delightful collectable thimble with the lift-off sewing set on the top was made in England of lead-free pewter. The ’sewing set’ has a tiny thimble, a pair of scissors ( hence the name ) and a tape measure. The thimble itself is useable. It is also available with the sewing set painted as shown in the third photo. They are amongst the most popular thimbles.
