This pewter thimble made in England commemorates the wedding of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg in 1840 . It is one of a series of reproduction English pewter thimbles including Centurian and Corinthian helmets as thimbles, Medieval, Renaissance and Tudor.
Each comes in a clear plastic box with a description. This thimble iis very useable – especially if your fingers are a little less elegant than others ( as mine are !)
Also available is an attractive thimble to commemorate the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton which has ” diamonds and a sapphire ” on top as shown in the third photo This thimble is made by Warwick Models.
